TC and CG Terminal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

Connecting terminals TC and CG of the DLC3 causes the ECU to display the DTC by blinking the ABS warning light.

NOTICE:

1.	INSPECT DLC3 (TC AND CG TERMINAL)

(a) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:

Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
H19-13 (TC) - Body ground	Ignition switch ON	11 to 14 V

Standard Resistance:

Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
H19-4 (CG) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

2.	CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

Result	Proceed to
DTC is not output	A
DTC is output	B

3.	CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DLC3 - ECM)

(a) Disconnect the A27 ECU connector.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
H19-13 (TC) - A27-16 (TC)	Always	Below 1 Ω
H19-13 (TC) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

4.	CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DLC3 - BODY GROUND)

(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
H19-4 (CG) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

5.	INSPECT ECM (DLC3 INPUT)

(a) Using SST, connect terminals 13 (TC) and 4 (CG) of the DLC3.

SST: 09843-18040

(b) Check if the ABS warning light is blinking.
